From July 2012 until June 2015 he was Vice President of Simest, the State financial arm that provides equity co-investment for Italian companies investing abroad. He is also a member of the Board of Assocamerestero and Advanced Capital.

Riccardo Maria Monti has been directly involved in the development and internationalization of the Value Partners Group, transforming it into a major Italian multinational of professional services that operates with 3,000 employees in 15 offices around the world. 

He has worked with international corporations and governments in over 30 countries,  in emerging markets in particular (Latin America, Asia and the Middle East) handling privatizations, international expansion and relocations abroad.

Since 2007 he has been a Board Member and Treasurer of the Robert Kennedy Foundation, with which he has worked on projects in Eastern Europe and Middle East.


The ICE-Italian Trade Promotion Agency is the government organization which promotes the internationalization of the Italian companies, in line with the strategies of the Ministry for Economic Development. ICE provides information, support and advice to Italian and foreign companies.
In addition to its Rome headquarters, ICE operates worldwide from a large network of Trade Promotion Offices linked to Italian embassies and consulates and working closely with local authorities and businesses.
